Author Bettye Johnson Launches For Freedom Now Project

FOR FREEDOM NOW PROJECT

Author Bettye Johnson has launched the For Freedom Now Project to bring forth a shift in awareness on this planet. Johnson is asking for volunteers to focus on the world once a day for a minimum of sixty days using the words Love and Gratitude. Love is a power that can change all things when we accept love and believe in love. Love has a frequency that can change polluted water into clean water as demonstrated by Masaru Emoto with his scientific work. Gratitude is being thankful for life, what we are, what we have and by offering gratitude to the world, we send out the frequency that we are being thankful for our efforts already being accomplished.

The intent of the For Freedom Now Project is to create a shift in the world away from abuse, discrimination, bigotry, poverty, anger, hatred, wars and enslavement through the use of love and gratitude. Johnson calls this an experiment with no money to pay and all is requested is a commitment to focus or pray once a day. "This is the time to heal our woundedness. Now is the opportunity to heal and give to the world a shift enabling it to evolve into something greater.

Johnson believes that by linking our intents, we can make a difference and become Shift-Changers for the world. Further information is available on the For Freedom Now website at http://freedomnowproject.blogspot.com

Bettye Johnson is an award-winning international author. Her books Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls and Mary Magdalene, Her Legacy are both Independent Publisher Book Awards winners in 2006 and 2008 respectively. FROM MIDWEST BOOK REVIEW

Midwest Book Review has posted a review of Awakening the Genie Within on their Self-Help Shelf and also the Small Press Bookwatch: November 2008
Review:
Everyone wants a genie to show up to solve all their problems, but the genie one might be waiting for may be within. "Awakening the Genie With: A Journey of Discovery" is a self-help manual calling for people to look into themselves to find the answer to their life's problems.
Looking to oneself for power can be done at any age, as Johnson didn't start her own spiritual awakening until she was forty. Empowering to readers to not wait for magic, but to create it themselves. "Awakening the Genie Within" is worth reading for self-help readers.

A PLEASURE TO READ

From Amazon.com - Review by Monty Rainey, New Braunfels, TX

Bettye Johnson reminds me so much of that wacky, eccentric great aunt that seems to exist in almost every family. You know the one, everyone talks about her like she's a little off her rocker, but yet, deep down everyone wants to spend a little "alone" time with her because she's just so darn fun to be around! And, if you'll open your mind up a little and listen to what she is saying, some of it makes perfect sense!

Well, dear old aunt Bettye wrote a book and called it AWAKENING THE GENIE WITHIN: A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY. Now I'm the first to admit I'm a die-hard conservative Christian minister, Dallas Theological Seminary and all that, but I'm also the first to tell you I don't question someone else's faith. If Bettye found enlightenment through the Ramtha and his School of Enlightenment, then so be it. I believe there are many avenues to take us to the answers we week and those roads don't always look the same.

This was an enjoyable read. Some may scoff at some of the conclusions that were reached, but keep an open mind and remember that Ms. Johnson's path may have been a little different than yours. That's okay. It doesn't make her wrong, only different. The point is, she has traveled a long journey and has gained wisdom, which she has chosen to share with the rest of us. Absorb her gift of wisdom in the way it was meant and enjoy the ride.

Awakening the Genie Within Amazon.com Review

AMAZON.COM REVIEW
Has some good tips, September 17, 2008 By drebbles (Arlington, MA USA) - See all my reviews

Bettye Johnson has led an interesting life. Born in Dallas, Texas in 1929, she grew up during the Great Depression. Throughout her life she has held a wide variety of jobs including picking cotton as a child, working in Paris and Tokyo for the U.S. State Department, a Federal Women's Program Coordinator, a holistic health center program director, and a non-denominational minister. She was the wife of a career military man and is the mother of three sons. In 2001 she became an author. "Awakening the Genie Within" is the story of how she was able to accomplish so many life changes.

"Awakening the Genie Within" is part autobiography and part inspirational thinking. Johnson's life has indeed been fascinating and I hope she eventually writes a full-fledged autobiography (I'd love to hear more about her second husband). Johnson is a student of Ramtha and his School of Enlightenment, which guides the inspirational part of the book. Whether or not you are open to Ramtha, there are several useful ideas in the book. Johnson advises that people open up the unused parts of their brains and gives several examples as to how to do it. She has several useful tips such as the seven P's (stages) of questing; how to inventory yourself; how to break out of mental cages ("I can't", "it isn't possible", etc.); keys to change; the power of imagination; self-healing; rules for living joyfully; and much more. While those were all useful tips, the one thing I really took from the book is the need to get rid of "stinking thinking" - something I have to work really hard to do.

"Awakening the Genie Within" is an inspirational book from a remarkable woman.

What happens when a forty year old woman awakens to a genie lurking within her? Two time award-winning author Bettye Johnson answers this question in her soon-to-be released first work of non-fiction Awakening the Genie Within, A Journey of Discovery, a semi-memoir of Johnson's journey into a world of manifested words and thoughts. Johnson's book Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls is an Independent Publishers Book Award Winner 2006 and its sequel Mary Magdalene, Her Legacy an Independent Publishers Book Award Winner 2008.

Suzanne Fairbrother, Ph.D., author of the best-selling book The Goddess Within, says "Awakening the Genie Within is a delightful presentation of the accumulated wisdom of a life well lived. Bettye Johnson's book shows us how to live our lives more powerfully."

Johnson's book covers a span of her next 39 years of developing the genie within and shares her experiences, the tools she used and the wisdom gained during a fascinating journey of discovery.

Bettye Johnson's life is a woven tapestry experiences that moved her from the cotton fields of Texas to working as a code clerk in the embassies of Paris and Tokyo where she received an uncommon education. Her background includes being a wife of a career military man, mother, government worker, minister and author.

BETTYE JOHNSON A TWO TIME AWARD WINNER

International Award-Winning author Bettye Johnson has just garnered her second Independent Publisher Book Award known as the IPPY Award for her book, Mary Magdalene, Her Legacy. Johnson received an Independent Publisher Book Award in 2006 for her best-selling Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls. The 2008 Independent Publisher Book Awards received 3,175 entries from 49 U.S. states, nine Canadian provinces as well as 16 countries overseas.
Bettye Johnson, a noted authority on the life and times of Mary Magdalene has spent a number of years researching the elusive life of a woman mentioned by name only a few times in the New Testament. Johnson chose to share her research by writing it in the form of fiction in order to have a broad spectrum of readers.
Johnson recently interviewed the director Bruce Burgess and producer Rene Barnett of the documentary film, Bloodline on her www.blogtalkradio.com/bettyejohnson show titled Knowledge Is Power. The documentary is a revelation of an unknown tomb of a mummified body covered by a shroud with a Knights Templar emblem on it. A question has been raised as to the possibility it could reveal information about the lineage of Mary Magdalene and Jesus. The interview has been archived and may be listened to at any time.
Bettye Johnson's background is a tapestry of woven experiences moving from the cotton fields of Texas to being a code clerk with the U.S. State Department Foreign Service with postings to the embassies in Paris and Tokyo. Johnson alleges this was the beginning of her uncommon education. She has been a student at the Ramtha School of Enlightenment, a university of the quantum physics of the mind for over 20 years. Johnson makes her home in Washington state and is currently about to publish her first non-fiction book titled, Awakening the Genie Within.
